The outstanding Canberra Wind Symphony returns to The Street for a triumphant tour de force of professional Wind Symphony repertoire. Under the baton of their renowned Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Geoff Grey, the orchestra will display in breathtaking fashion why their tenet is Captivating, Engaging, Brilliant!

The 2016 concert series is in support of beyondblue, helping fight depression in Australian farmers. This memorable event promises to enthrall all who dare to open their minds for enchantment.

Offering impacting works from major 20th and 21st century composers, this exciting evening displays gorgeous textures from the pens of Eric Whitacre, Samuel R. Hazo and Percy Grainger, features the wickedly infectious ‘Cartoon’ from Paul Hart and highlights the Canberra Premiere of James Barnes’ epic ‘Symphony No. 3’.
