Design Canberra is an annual festival celebrating and promoting Canberra as a global city of design.
Canberra is Australia’s cool little capital. Design Canberra, now in its third year, showcases design excellence across all disciplines—the best the ACT has to offer. From 27 October to 25 November, Design Canberra will present over 100 exhibitions, events, activations and workshops, covering landscape design, architecture, industrial design, technology, fashion, jewellery and more. This year features a tribute to internationally renowned designer, Robert Foster, a youth workshop with Francis Sollano, a ‘trashion’ and installations artist from the Philippines, tours of the living rooms of acclaimed Canberra houses, and open artist studios.
Design Canberra is for all interests and ages. Most events are free to the public. More than 26,000 visitors flock to the festival, including from interstate.
Presented by Craft ACT: Canberra Craft and Design Centre. Explore the full program on their website.
