National Folk Festival Lecture 2016: The Good Old Concertina

2016 National Folk Fellow Chris Sullivan will recreate the unique sounds of the concertina from music selected from the Library’s Oral History and Folklore Collection. He will be joined by the Horton River Band.

One of Australia’s most influential prolific and influential folklore collectors, Chris used his Fellowship to examine surviving examples of concertina music an aim to develop performance expressive of both repertoire and playing style.
