Acoustic performance at the National Folk Festival in Canberra

National Folk Festival

Canberra’s great Easter tradition – the National Folk Festival – brings musicians and their fans together for four days of festivities.

Join a cultural celebration of traditional and contemporary music, dance, poetry and storytelling on multiple stages at the one venue. This festival began 50 years ago and attracts a stellar line up of performers from around the world. Bring your instrument or dancing shoes and join in countless opportunities to jam, dance and play.

There’s a KidzFest, street and circus acts, master classes and a plenty of food stalls to keep you occupied from morning to late. And you don’t even need to leave the venue to go home, with camping, caravan and motor home sites available onsite at Exhibition Park.

Stay tuned for the line up and when tickets go on sale through the National Folk Festival website
