The Truffle Negroni is a vivacious concoction consisting of truffle-infused gin, sweet red vermouth and Campari, with an orange twist and black truffle salt to set it all off. If you missed out at QT Canberra, here's how you can make it for yourself.
First up, you'll have to make your truffle-infused gin. To make, pour two cups of gin and one tablespoon of white truffle oil into a large jar with a tight-fitting top. Screw on the top and let it sit at room temperature for 2-3 hours, allowing the oil to infuse. Pop it into the freezer upside down for 24 hours.
Now for the fun part.
1. Rim half a glass with black truffle salt.
2. Place two large ice cubes and an orange twist into your glass.
3. Pour over 30ml of your truffle-infused gin, 30ml of red vermouth and 30ml Campari. Give it all a big stir.
4. Sip back (from the non-salted side) and relax.
