  • Cups and Conversations
Cups and Conversations is an exploration of birds and animals through still life and portraiture by artist friends Lisa Brack and Gillian Baldock.

Lisa Brack explores the juxtaposition of the wild and domestic. This is expressed using the adaptive relationship of wild birds in the human environment in a style traditionally used for still lifeworks.

Using the lens of classical portraiture, Gillian Baldock explores our relationship with animals. By isolating the subjects head the viewer is invited to contemplate the almost human expression of the animals.
