National Sheep Dog Trial Championships 2020

  • National Sheep Dog Trial Championships 2020
Ever seen a top sheep dog in action? A blur of high speed motion, absolute stillness, controlled aggression and canny mind control of the three sheep - all while instantly responding to direction from the handler. It's not cricket - that's for sure! It’s a compelling, often nail-biting, spectator experience and a display of extraordinary teamwork.

Throw in the rural setting of lovely Hall Village and you have all the ingredients for a great experience and a fascinating insight into Australia's rural life.

The conditions this year are challenging - despite drought and fires our competitors will come from afar to support this sport that is rich in Australian rural heritage.

Do yourself and our competitors a favour - come out and watch the action for an hour (or a day), or two. Bring the family and your dogs,. Yes, dogs on leads will be welcome – so bring them along to see what the pros can do!

This year we are privileged to have the support of His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) who will be attending the final and presenting the Duke of Gloucester Sash to the National Sheep Dog Trial Open Champion.
