Annual Schools Photographic Competition

Annual Schools Photographic Competition

Young photographers…

The Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens is hosting its Annual Schools Photographic Competition again this year.

Come and visit the Gardens and capture that special shot that showcases the beauty of the Gardens - its plants, wildlife, scenery or community.

There are cash prizes and the opportunity for your work to feature in an exhibition.
Closing date for entries is 24 September 2021.

For primary school students, there are two categories: Monochrome and Colour
For high school and college students, there is an extra category, Altered reality, for images that have been manipulated digitally or in dark room processing.

The Annual Schools Photographic Competition is sponsored by the Friends of the ANBG and encourages primary and secondary students attending any Australian schools to take photographs within the ANBG.

The exhibition showcases works of creativity and photographic skills in colour, monochrome and altered reality of plants, wildlife and scenery. The competition is an excellent opportunity for students to value the beauty of Australian plants and botanical gardens while expressing their ideas.

The exhibition will be open daily from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm in the Visitor Centre Gallery.
