Australian World Orchestra live in concert

In 2021 the multi-award winning and exhilarating Australian World Orchestra will bring together Australia’s world-class musicians from around the nation for the world premiere of “Symphony” by Australian composer Paul Dean, commissioned by the AWO in our 10th year and composed during the lockdown.

Paul Dean’s new work is Australian at its core, capturing the beauty of nature and culminating with an enormous expression of hope, as we await the beauty that emerges after the storm.

The 2021 performance will also pay respects to Beethoven, with the dramatic and sensitive Coriolan Overture.

"Almost as one, the audience rose to its feet for sustained applause and multiple curtain calls for the orchestra and its conductor. In the after-concert party, Briger said: 'This Canberra Audience was awesome' " – Clinton White, City News, 2019
