Overview

Journey deep underground Australian Parliament House with an expert geologist from Geoscience Australia to explore the phenomenon called an ‘Unconformity’ – an ancient rock formation and a fascinating piece of a puzzle that helps you understand the Earth in the Canberra region.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see this geological formation where two rock masses, made millions of years apart, joined and consider what it reveals about how the environment changes.

As this tour is underground participants will encounter uneven surfaces, stairs, confined spaces and dusty environments. They recommend dressing warmly and suitable to the conditions. Valid photo identification must be shown to participate on the tour.
