Overview

Go on a guided tour with experienced gardener Daniel Santelices and explore the bison dahlia patch. Learn the history of the dahlia (once a food source for the Aztecs) and hear from Brian Tunks (designer at bison and chief gardener!) about the varieties and story behind the huge fascination with these blooms.

Walk several hundred metres to the paddock, Daniel will then show you how to cut safely and put together bunches with you in buckets. He’ll also share some growing tips and then, when finished, enjoy a delicious freshly baked Danish and tea or coffee at The Pialligo Bakesmith, a favourite on-site Patisserie. The bison stores will be full of flowers in their signature ceramics and blown glass vessels. A great gift and excellent for visitors and family or friends. Meet at the bison potting shed for a memorable early morning experience.

The guided walk is presented by Bison as part of the month-long Dahlicious Festival, celebrating dahlias and design.
