Overview

Yasmin is an artist and photographer based in Canberra, Australia. Her artistic journey expanded and evolved at the Australian National University (ANU), where she graduated with first-class honors in Visual Arts, specializing in Photomedia. She won the Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) Photography Award 2023, through the 2023 CAPO Grants round. Yasmin’s creative pursuits encompass portraiture, documentary photography, and the captivating world of floral imagery. Her passion lies in storytelling through photography, particularly through documentary projects within the community. Of course, she is not confined to the lens. Her artistic repertoire extends to creating photobooks, writing poetry, batik silk painting, printmaking and sculptures. Through diverse mediums, she explores the multifaceted nature of creativity and human expression.
