Overview

Gallery of Small Things is hosting its 6th Annual group exhibition to coincide with Floriade and its theme Art in Bloom.

Eight artists outside of Canberra were invited to participate in creating new works and being paired with an artist in the same medium. The theme Connections has inspired artists to create a range of new artworks from tiny cups no higher than 2 millimetres to small bird paintings, round framed cyanotypes to wire sculptured objects. You will see a range of works in ceramics, photo media, abstract paintings and multimedia. All the artworks pop with colour (think reds, oranges, blues and greens) and some show off copper tones alongside pastel tones to soothe the soul. The cottage garden surrounding the gallery will also be blooming for visitors to enjoy the little things that matter.
