Ginger at the Arboretum is nested up at Canberra’s National Arboretum with sweeping views back down into Canberra and across the lake.
The restaurant offers contemporary Australian cuisine, with dishes simply prepared with care and designed to share.
The produce is sourced primarily within Canberra’s 100-mile foodshed to support good farming in the region.
Ginger at the Arboretum's focus is on organic and biodynamic produce, heirloom meats, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and sustainable sea and freshwater foods.
Janet Jeffs, the owner and head chef’s desire is to nurture hopes and ideas in an arbour within a national vegetable and herb garden, surrounded by food forests to sustain a city.
Open for lunch seven days and breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.
