Walk among nearly 400 beautiful birds in the Canberra Walk In Aviary. Observe, photograph and feed the friendly free flying birds as they fly in the large planted aviary

This is your chance to get up close and personal with nearly 50 different species from Australia and around the world. Count over 200 parrots and 200 finches quail and pheasants.

The Canberra Walk In Aviary is only 15 minutes from the city centre. Federation Square is located in Gold Creek Village off the Barton Highway Nicholls.

Entrance to the aviary is located directly behind the Green Gold Garden Centre.



Daily (Weather permitting); Summer: 10am - 5pm (Last admission 4.30 pm); Winter - 10am - 4pm (last admission 3.30 pm); Closed Christmas Day.

Located in the little shopping area. Lots of birds to see and feed and lovely owners. Nice way to spend 30-40 minutes while you are at Gold Creek. Cockington Green, reptile zoo and Dinosaur Museum...

Totally loved going in the huge aviary feeding all the birds. The employees are real friendly and the birds are so used to people they will even sit on you as you walk round.
