Overview

Join established and emerging First Nations artists from the Pormpuraaw Arts and Culture Centre in Far North Queensland for a series of workshops in conjunction with the exhibition Belonging: Stories from Far North Queensland.

Ghost Net Sculptures:
Create your own original and sustainable artwork using abandoned fishing nets recovered from the beaches around Cape York and other reclaimed materials.

Meet the Artists:
Engage with First Nations artists featured in Belonging: Stories from Far North Queensland. Join museum curator Catherine Czerw to hear about their works, discuss the Belonging project and explore their deep connections to Country.
