“Free entry, pay for special exhibits”
If you can catch Songlines before it leaves in February, I recommend it highly. The museum cafe is excellent. Outdoor or indoor seating. Gift shop is also very good.
This is a museum, it's in Canberra, has lots of things to see, but it's very sterile, has very little atmosphere, very modern day display of old things. I preferred the Australian Museum in Darwin.
“Great place but not much for kids”
It's a great place and very well layed out with great history etc loads of things to see if interested in history, wanted to spend whole day but unfortunately for us our kids specially 4 years old...
