Can be reached via the road but the best way to go is a (moderate) 20-30 walk from the base near the war memorial. Plenty of birds and native flowers (including info on posted signs along the walk...

My favorite way up this hill is via the walking track that starts behind the Australian War Memorial.
It's 2.6km each way, with a 170m elevation from the base to lookout - it takes most people...
