Overview

Molongo Gorge Nature Reserve covers a 15.5 kilometer stretch of the Molongo River, between Sutton Road and Burbong Bridge, near Queanbeyan.

Molonglo Gorge Recreation Area is great for swimming, fishing, walking and picnicking.

Take the self-guided walk along the gorge, on a trail following the river for 3 kilometers, to the Blue Tiles picnic area.

The Molonglo Gorge Forest Recreation Area is accessible from Sutton Road.

It’s very good time in Spring to walk along sealed path , with loop , winding through meadows, pine trees; occasionally encounter hares, kangaroos, even squirrels.
