Overview

Canberra Potters Society is a vibrant community ceramics centre in Watson, just minutes from Canberra's city centre. Established in 1975, the not-for-profit organisation celebrates handcrafted ceramics through exhibitions, workshops, classes and retail experiences showcasing the work of local and visiting artists.

Visitors can explore the gallery and shop featuring unique handmade ceramics, from functional pieces to contemporary artworks, all created by Canberra region ceramicists. Throughout the year, Canberra Potters presents exhibitions, artist talks and creative workshops for beginners through to experienced makers.

A diverse program of pottery classes is available for adults and children, including after-school, weekend and school holiday sessions, offering hands-on creative experiences in a welcoming studio environment.

Located within Watson Arts Centre, Canberra Potters is an important part of the ACT arts community and a destination for anyone interested in ceramics, creativity and local art.
