Overview

Bring your 3–5‑year‑old along for a fun‑filled Science Time session at Questacon, where curious little minds explore the fascinating science behind light and shadows.

Have you ever wondered why some objects cast a shadow and others don't? Or would you like to explore how to create different coloured lights and shadows? Through playful questioning, hands‑on experiments, creative activities and simple crafts, children discover the answers just like real scientists do.

Each interactive session encourages young learners to explore, investigate and experiment in a supportive environment designed especially for early childhood. The experience wraps up with an exciting demonstration and a take‑home activity sheet, so the STEM fun can continue at home.

A perfect introduction to science for preschoolers, full of discovery, creativity and curiosity.
