This workshop offers an inspiring blend of art, geology, and nature, a perfect outdoor experience for creative young minds. Beginning with an engaging guided walk through the National Rock Garden, children will discover remarkable rocks from across Australia and gather creative inspiration before designing their very own rock art masterpiece to keep.

Guided Rock Garden Walk: Discover the beauty of the National Rock Garden's unique rock displays. Let the natural forms and colours fuel your creativity.

Creative Rock Painting Session: Friendly educators will guide you through painting techniques to make your rocks come alive with colour and character.

Take Home Your Art: By the end of the session, you'll have a collection of hand-painted rocks that reflect your creativity - a perfect keepsake or gift!

This activity is designed to be inclusive of varying abilities. The walk is wheelchair accessible with assistance, along a Grade 1 sloped pathway. The rock art is held in an accessible room with accessible bathroom facilities.

Important Information:
Suitable for ages 7+.
Younger children are welcome to join if accompanied and assisted by a parent or caregiver.
Supervising parents/carers attend for free.
Please ensure children have a drink bottle, sun protection and are dressed for the weather.
