The colourful language of love, desire and politics inscribed on Pompeii’s ancient walls reveals the underbelly of Roman life and brings the city’s people to life.   

Featuring Professor Caillan Davenport, Roman historian and Head of the Centre for Classical Studies, Australian National University, in conversation with Dr Lily Withycombe, Curator, National Museum of Australia. 

This conversation will contain adult themes and explicit language based on literal translations of the graffiti. Recommended for audiences 18 years and over.
