Anzac Day Dawn Service 2025 | Australian War Memorial

Overview
Join the Australian War Memorial in the quiet, peaceful moments before dawn, to mark the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, and honour those Australians who have served and continue to serve in our Defence Force.
Starting at 4.30 am, representatives from the Australian Defence Force will read excerpts from the letters and diaries of Australians who have experienced war.
At 5.30 am, the standing ceremony begins. It includes the laying of wreaths on behalf of Australia and New Zealand symbolising the unity of Anzac, as well as a commemorative address by Rear Admiral Matt Buckley CSC RAN.
After five years of development works, this year the Memorial's renowned Dawn Service will return to the Parade Ground. It will include image projections from the National Collection and the opportunity to lay a Poppy tribute in the Commemorative Area after the service.
For more information about the Dawn Service, getting to the Memorial, and road closures, visit the Australian War Memorial website.
Please note, the Memorial's galleries will open at 1 pm.
