ACT Law Courts Open Day

Overview
The ACT Law Courts is throwing open its doors during Law Week 2025 to give you an inside view on what happens in court.
Events include a mock jury empanelment, a simulated bail hearing, court tours, and an exhibition of local justice agencies.
In a mock jury empanelment, visitors can learn about how juries are put together and what role they play in the court system.
In 'You be the judge', one of their judicial officers will guide you through a mock bail hearing and help you learn about what bail is, and how people are given or denied it.
Visitors can also join an educational court tour, or visit the exhibition of local justice organisations to learn how they support the local community. The Court's Canine Support dogs will also be on site.
This event is for anybody interested in learning how the Courts work, and is particularly suited for students wishing to learn about careers in the law.
Bookings are essential, so please visit the website for more information.
