Overview

Whiskey distilling is a relatively new art, at least compared with beer and wine production, which began many millennia in the past. Nevertheless, the Irish and Scottish have been at it for some time.

This tasting pits the newcomers against the old-timers!

It features whiskies across styles ranging from single malts to single grains and aged up to 30 years before bottling. Features distilleries include Tomintoul, Redbreast, Suntory, Nikka, Fuji and Kavalan as well as independent bottlers Compass Box and Claxron's.

The tasting will be double-blind: not only will those attending not know until afterwards which whisky is which, neither will Dennis Hart, who has chosen and will present them.
