Overview

Join local artist Helen Cattell of Good Hope Pottery for a hands-on workshop where you'll create three unique bowl designs using stoneware clay, all within the beautiful setting of the Tootsie Gallery Cafe. Helen will guide you through the process of shaping your bowls and applying decorative slip, helping you explore a variety of textures and patterns through slip trailing techniques. This is a wonderful opportunity to express your creativity and connect with a warm, welcoming community of fellow makers.

After the workshop, the bowls will be left to dry for a couple of days. Helen will then collect them and take them back to her studio at Good Hope for the firing process. Each piece will undergo a bisque firing, followed by the application of three coats of a glaze of your choice and then a final glaze firing to achieve a glossy, durable finish.

Once complete, your bowls will be ready for collection from Tootsie Gallery Cafe after the firing process is finished.
