Overview
Winter Festival is a three-day celebration of all things local, seasonal food, which fits into the broader truffle season in the Canberra region.
The festival kicks off the celebrations with Friday Bonfire Night. Embrace the cold, lean into the dark and let out your wild side with fire, sparklers, a DJ and delicious food! Enjoy spit-roasted pork from local farm Branch & Burrow, boozy hot chocolates and wines by the glass.
The Saturday Market Day is the time of year to celebrate truffles, new season wines, fresh pressed olive oil, hearty root veggies and sunshiny winter fruits. Come along to the market for fresh produce, ready-to-eat foods, wine tastings, local crafts, live music and more!
Sunday will feature a program of workshops, tastings and foodie events, including a seasonal long lunch hosted by Contentious Character Winery, and a truffle demonstration by Chef Christophe Gregoire.
Bonfire Night and Winter Market are free events, while Sunday's events are ticketed - more information on the Southern Harvest website.
