Overview
Join the Llewellyn Choir of Canberra for a special performance of Maurice Duruflé's Requiem in the historic St Andrew's Anglican Church in Braidwood, as part of the Braidwood Concert Series.
Duruflé's Requiem is regarded as one of the finest 20th-century religious works and has come to be associated with the call for world peace. Composed in 1947 against the dark backdrop of the Second World War, the Requiem offers optimism and hope.
Conducted by Rowan Harvey-Martin, the choir will be joined by soprano Sonia Anfiloff and baritone Rohan Thatcher, and accompanied by organist James Porteous and Clara Teniswood on cello, with the Llewellyn Sinfonia. Set in Braidwood's beautiful and historic surrounds, this will be an afternoon of choral music not to be missed.
