Overview
Have you ever stood before an eight-metre rainbow serpent? Not many have, it may only be a statue but the real rainbow serpent is not far away. This spring, during the ACT school holidays, the Canberra Reptile Zoo invites you to step inside a living world of colour, pattern, and science in nature.
As part of Floriade Community, the zoo is transforming its grounds into a vibrant experience where Australia's most unique snakes and reptiles take centre stage. In this Chinese Year of the Snake, visitors can explore rarely displayed species and discover how colour shapes survival, camouflage, and communication in the reptile world. From dazzling scales to patterned hides, every encounter reveals a new story written in colour.
Along the way, families can collect passport stamps from across the zoo. Complete the journey and you'll receive a free World of Colour poster, plus a set of five exclusive stickers representing Australia's iconic reptile species.
Best of all, this special event is included in the standard zoo entry—so every ticket is your passport to science, colour, and creatures you'll never forget.
Step into a kaleidoscope of wildlife these school holidays—only at the Canberra Reptile Zoo.
