If you cherish Austrian, German and Swiss culture like they do, prepare to dive into Canberra German Week, a week-long festival series of events that celebrates all things German!

While they've celebrated their beloved Canberra / Queanbeyan Oktoberfest for decades as established by the Jennings brothers, this year, they're showcasing that the German-speaking community encompasses so much more than just "beer and lederhosen" but they'll always order "ein Bier, bitte!" at Oktoberfest Canberra.

The festival is an initiative of the German missions in Australia with events on across the country as part of German Week and is hosted by Harmonie German Club and Das Zentrum Australian-German Institute Inc. in Canberra with the support of the German Embassy Canberra.

​They've got something for everyone with events ranging from film screenings, business networking, science and innovation seminars, to family and community day, a German cultural dialogue and our annual national language competition. Check out their website for more information.
