Overview

World Wildlife Weekend at the National Zoo and Aquarium offers visitors the chance to celebrate animals from around the globe while getting to know the people who work towards conservation. Visitors explore keeper talks, colouring stations and relaxed lawn games designed for all ages. 'Meet the Zoo Team' sessions create opportunities to speak with Education, Zoo Keeping and Volunteer team members about zoo life, animal care and volunteer pathways. Guests can discover collectable items such as medallions, badges and fun fact cards while learning about the animals that shape the collection. The experience highlights the zoo's passionate staff and hands-on learning that defines the National Zoo and Aquarium. World Wildlife Weekend provides a welcoming space to learn, play and connect with conservation through meaningful connections.
