Held in association with the National Foundation for Australian Women, Winter Tales events feature a notable woman speaking about her life and work and raise funds to support the Australian Women's Register.
Afternoon tea is served after the presentation.
The Australian Women's Archives Program (AWAP) is an initiative of the National Foundation for Australian Women. AWAP builds knowledge and recognition of the contribution made by women through an online biographical register. Winter Tales events raise funds to support the register's development.
Justice McWilliam is a judge of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory hearing both civil and criminal cases. She is currently sitting in the Drug and Alcohol Sentencing List. Her Honour first joined the Court in 2017, having previously worked in SNSW as a solicitor and barrister. While at the New South Wales Bar, Justice McWilliam lectured in public law, federal constitutional law and litigation at the Universities of NSW and Sydney. Earlier in her career, she worked as a judge's associate in both the Federal Court and the Family Court of Australia.
