Overview
Warm the hearts and imaginations of your youngest explorers with an exciting range of holiday workshops and family activities.
Preschoolers can enjoy Winter Nature Play, exploring the outdoors through hands-on discovery and sensory experiences. Children under 8 can join Stories in the Forest, a magical fairy-themed adventure that reveals why winter is so important to forest life, or get creative at Paper Lantern Decorating, making their own lantern inspired by winter nature.
Budding artists can slow down, observe the natural world, and build creative skills through a series of nature-inspired workshops presented by NatureArt Lab.
Families can learn together at all-ages workshops, including Aboriginal Plant Use and Culture with Wiradjuri man Adam Shipp, or create beautiful Luminescent Flower artworks to carry in the free Lantern Parade.
Collect a map and head outside to go on a self-guided Winter Wildlife Quest searching for clues hidden throughout the forests, explore the Warm Trees forests or marvel at the night sky with at winter stargazing sessions.
After a day of exploring, relax at The Village with food, firelight and festive activities, including special After Dark experiences on Friday and Saturday evenings to create magical memories.
All activities are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, supporting participation for people of varying abilities.
