Overview

Regional expression, varietal definition, and excellence in traditional Italian varieties, from winemaker Alex McKay. Number #57 in the 2023 Wine Companion Top 100 list, Collector Wines is based in the town of Collector, just outside Canberra. Collector farms sustainably in the Canberra region, and also source the best grapes from neighbouring Tumbarumba, Gundagai and the Hilltops to offer a diverse and exciting range.

The cellar door in historic Collector is a 40 minute drive from Canberra or three hours from Sydney, located one minute off the Federal Highway. The cellar door itself is located in the beautiful ca. 1830s old Collector bakery, and the town includes a cafe, pub, fresh produce shop and monthly markets.

Group bookings are by appointment.

The Cellar Door is closed until early 2025 - the winery is taking the time to prepare a fresh, welcoming experience in a new space.
