Overview

The Apple Thief Cider House is located four kilometres north of Batlow and is owned and operated by Dave Purcell who is passionate about the production of apples, cherries and berries and all things cider!

Apples have been a key part of Batlow's economy and history for over 120 years. With an elevation of around 800 metres above sea level, deep, rich soils and generally consistent rainfall, Batlow's sub-alpine location and climate provide a sweet spot for growing the tastiest and juiciest apples around.

The Apple Thief Cider House offers the ultimate immersive cider experience, showcasing the cider journey from the orchard, to the fresh estate-grown apples which are transported in timber apple bins and transformed into flavorsome award-winning ciders.

Stunning Alpine Ash beautifully links the high ceilings, spacious restaurant and indoor bar which flows through to the outdoor cider garden and timber deck. A series of feature windows provide comforting views over the orchard and a fireplace enhances the warmth of the space.

The Cider House offers a stylish bar pouring ice cold hand-crafted ciders from the taps for guests to taste. Customers will enjoy casual dining while browsing the new range of products and local produce.

Whether you're a cider enthusiast or simply exploring the region, the Apple Thief Cider House is a must-visit highlight of Batlow.
