Overview

With two distinct dining areas serving up Canberra’s best selection of Shabu Shabu and Yakiniku, you’re invited to discover the legend of Taki, through a bespoke dining experience, chosen by you.

The Shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot) offering features traditional tatami mat seating, centred around a bubbling hot pot. A traditional form of communal dining in Japan, Shabu-shabu represents friendship - as the saying goes “I like you enough to dip chopsticks with you!”. Choose from Taki’s signature hot pot platters, each broth made fresh in-house, from scratch, served with individual seasoning and sauces for dipping.

Yakiniku, or Japanese BBQ is cooked tableside over glowing coals. With a honed focus on Wagyu beef, Taki’s Yakiniku menu showcases some of Australia’s finest wagyu - a Japanese beef considered by many the best on the planet. Build your own BBQ platter or try Taki’s famous ‘Stairway to heaven’ 450g of premium wagyu including short rib, sirloin, karubi, and skirt, served with a flavourful selection of house-made dipping sauces and spices.
