Start your cycling journey

Rent electric-powered bicycles from Canberra Wine Region E-Bike Tours to embark on Murrumbateman's off-road winery trail.

Ask the experts at Canberra Wine Region E-Bike Tours for some recommendations on various route options, including longer, scenic avenues to enjoy. They also know all the best spots for wine tastings, delicious lunches, picturesque picnics, and even where to feed a friendly alpaca or pat a giant dog.

The bikes are energy efficient, emission-free, and capable of transporting you at up to 25 kilometres per hour with no effort on your behalf.

Canberra Wine Region E-Bike Tours also offer local pick-up and drop-off services for those who want to settle in at a particular cellar door. You can visit one or more of the local cool climate wineries in the area – you’ve certainly got quite a few to choose from, all within a 10 kilometre radius.

Remember to ride safely and drink responsibly.

Shaw Wines

Just four kilometres (about a 10-minute ride) from Murrumbateman town centre, Shaw Wines features a stunning cellar door overlooking the vines. Their cellar door houses some beautiful artworks, including a striking window made from wine glasses. Enjoy a tipple of award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon on the outdoor terrace or sit down to a long lunch at their on-site restaurant, Olleyville.

In addition to incredible wines, the Shaw cellar door sells locally produced jams, mustards, olive oil, and chocolates, so be sure to load up your basket before heading on.
